We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading effective learning and teaching programs for young people in middle and senior phases of secondary education.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in youth work or a related discipline to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of youth work principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role requires the ability to develop knowledge of Common Ground through Operation by Principles, Collaborative Problem-Solving techniques, and practices. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to work effectively with young people who have experienced complexity in their lives to engage in personalized learning plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective learning and teaching programs for young people in middle and senior phases of secondary education.
  • Support and lead a team of educators to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Work closely with young people to develop personalized learning plans that meet their individual needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of programs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements
  • A Working with Children Clearance Notice.
  • Current driver's licence (essential) or Light Rigid licence (highly desirable).
  • Previous experience in the youth sector with knowledge and understanding of local First Nations communities.
  • Qualifications at Degree, Diploma or Certificate level with Social Work/Youth Work experience or working towards a qualification.
