About the Role
The Inventory Support Officer plays a vital role in Requirement Determination and procurement activities in support of ANZAC Class unique inventory. Reporting directly to either the Stock Item Owner Coordinator, the officer is responsible for assisting with the management, procurement and repair of assigned inventory items ensuring relevant purchasing, procurement and Asset Management policies are adhered to.
About You
We're looking for a skilled logistics professional with:
- Logistics qualification to a minimum of Certificate 3 level or equivalent levels of experience;
- At least 4 years' experience in a logistics environment (preferably ANZAC Class related);
- Working knowledge of Defence logistics, maintenance and financial policies, procedures and organisation;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel;
- Solid understanding of Defence Resource Management;
- Solid knowledge of Defence support and logistics policies and procedures;
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Asset Management principals and Integrated Logistics Support;
- Ability to learn RD skills utilising the AIMS RD product; and
- Strong attention to detail.
