About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Audiologist to join our well-established clinic in Ballina, New South Wales. Working 3 days a week (24 hours total) from Wednesday to Friday between 8:30am - 5:00pm.

As an Audiologist at our clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing professional recommendations for clients with hearing and balance issues. You will conduct clinical assessments in line with current best practices and communicate assessment results and subsequent recommendations effectively.

Your primary responsibility will be to meet the needs of our clients by providing appropriate and professional advice, services, and devices. You will also offer counselling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss management and communication strategies.

You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Additionally, you will participate in professional development and training to maintain current and diverse knowledge in your specialist areas of audiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with hearing and balance issues by providing professional recommendations for the best rehabilitation options.
  • Conduct clinical assessments in line with current best practices and the Company's clinical protocols, communicating assessment results and subsequent recommendations effectively.
  • Meet client needs by providing appropriate and professional advice, services, and devices.
  • Offer counselling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss management and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 2-5 years' experience in Adult Rehabilitation; diagnostic experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A relevant qualification in Audiology.
  • Currently hold, or eligible for, full membership with AudA or ACAud
  • Strong audiological skills, with the ability to manage a high and varied caseload while demonstrating sound clinical judgement.
  • Excellent customer care and service skills, with a passion for delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • A commitment to building strong therapeutic relationships with clients and achieving the highest standards in audiological care.
