About This Opportunity

A prominent builder is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a $35M apartment project in Melbourne's inner south-east/bayside region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and design coordination through to completion and handover.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgets, programming, risk registers, and value-engineering to ensure successful delivery.
  • Team Management: Supervise subcontractor and consultant management, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Procurement and Financial Controls: Drive project profitability through effective procurement and financial controls.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met to the highest level.
  • Client Relationships: Build strong client and stakeholder relationships while leading high-performing site teams.

About You

  • Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with exposure to apartments or commercial projects valued $30M+.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Financial acumen in budget control, forecasting, and cost tracking. Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
