Senior Private Tax Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Private Tax Manager to join our Sydney office and lead our Private Accounting and Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private tax clients and providing exceptional accounting and tax compliance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and run assigned engagements, ensuring the successful completion of concurrent assignments by utilizing technical competence and required resources.
- Attend to overall client engagements, including accounting and tax compliance services to a portfolio of the firm's private tax clients.
- Provide periodic management and tailored financial reports for high net wealth family client groups.
- Provide direction and training to junior team members, including conducting regular team meetings.
- Track and monitor various individual and team KPIs, such as financial targets and ATO lodgements.
- Act as a mentor/coaching manager, conducting appraisals, goal review and goal setting.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm or family office organisation.
- Relevant degree and CA/CPA qualified.
- Proficient accounting skills, and preferably strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Proven private tax experience with relevant technical knowledge.
- Clear and articulate communication skills.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent staff management and development skills.
