Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised individual to fill the position of Cash Management Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's debtor process, ensuring that outstanding debts are recovered in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update all customer accounts daily, allocating payments and flagging any invoice queries in a timely manner.
  • Follow up rigorously with customers on unallocated payments or invoices in query and track feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Sales department to track, report, and resolve invoices in query, including measuring key performance indicators.
  • Communicate with customers to chase overdue debts, placing accounts on hold as required.
  • Monitor customer credit limits, obtaining necessary information for credit limit reviews from customers and conducting credit checks.
  • Liaise with the Sales Office where accounts are on hold, approving or rejecting orders as needed.
  • Generate monthly customer statements, ensuring electronic distribution to customers each month.
  • Produce routine debtor reporting to key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity of information.
  • Attend quarterly meetings with regional Sales Managers, discussing collection concerns.
  • Create new customers in our enterprise resource planning/ customer relationship management systems following established procedures.

Requirements:

  • Accounting/Finance background
  • Previous experience in a business-to-business credit control role, minimum of 2 years.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy
  • Problem solving ability, willingness to adapt and find solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritise workload.
  • Proven level of Computer literacy, Microsoft Excel particularly.
  • Motivated, driven and dedication to deliver and maintain high standards of service.
