A prominent engineering consultancy in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Hydraulic Services Project Lead to join their team. This key role offers a unique opportunity to lead hydraulic services design projects, collaborate with clients, and contribute to the company's growth and expansion.

Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

In this senior leadership position, you will oversee the coordination and execution of hydraulic services design projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing marketing strategies, managing client relationships, and providing guidance to junior team members.

You will work closely with clients to understand project requirements, develop design solutions, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver comprehensive project results. Your ability to communicate complex technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial in achieving project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead hydraulic services design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to relevant Australian Standards and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of services and successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities to minimize threats and maximize benefits for clients and the company.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in hydraulic services design, project management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian Standards (e.g., AS3500, AS2419, AS5601) and local regulations.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Able to motivate and guide junior team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Familiarity with REVIT and CAD programs, with the ability to use them to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Hold a QBCC Hydraulic Services Licence or RPEQ, or have the ability to gain one.
