Expert Construction Law Specialist

As a seasoned lawyer with expertise in construction and infrastructure law, you will be part of a thriving practice area that advises Australia's largest residential property developers, commercial and industrial builders, engineers, and other professional stakeholders on all aspects of construction law.

Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for construction projects, providing advice and formal legal opinions on construction and project disputes, preparing claims ready for arbitration, litigation, and determination, and being proactive in business development.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in law and admission to practice
  • At least 3 years PQE - Associate
  • At least 5 years PQE - Senior Associate
  • Experience in front-end tender and contract review, drafting, and negotiation
  • Experience within construction litigation and arbitration
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent time management and efficient working
  • Demonstrated experience with building customer, client, and stakeholder relationships
  • An interest in business development, building a practice, and mentoring junior lawyers
