About the Role

The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting Endeavour Energy's regulated business, driving financial and commercial management excellence.

As the Commercial Manager, you will be accountable to the Head of Commercial Finance for providing financial and commercial guidance to support the relevant divisions. This role leads the commercial decision-making process, management reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for the regulated business.

You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and senior management to ensure financial and commercial objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the month-end close process for P&L and capex projects and programs.
  • Provide accurate and timely advice and guidance on the financial performance of each division, coordinating monthly performance reporting that reflects key priority initiatives and monitors progress against targets and objectives.
  • Drive action to ensure divisions achieve allocated budget and execute committed initiatives.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, fostering a 'trusted advisor and partner' relationship through providing commercial insight and analysis to support their decision-making.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, financial KPIs, forecasts, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and advising accountable budget owners of any deviations.
  • Support and provide financial input to regulatory reporting or revenue determination when required.
  • Analyse revenue data and systems, including ownership of the machine learning forecasting model, to improve the accuracy of revenue reporting and forecasts.
  • Assist business units with understanding and interpreting accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Advanced professional with experience leading a small finance team in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver effective business partnering, financial accounting, management, and reporting.
  • Experience within the Energy/Electrical, Professional Services, Infrastructure, and/or Utilities Industry is not essential.
