Unlocking Data Insights: A Key to Business Success

In today's fast-paced business environment, data plays a crucial role in driving strategic decisions. As a Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering data models, analytics-ready datasets, and business metrics that power insights, reporting, and decision-making across various initiatives.

This hands-on role involves transforming raw data into reliable, well-tested models that fuel reporting, insights, and activation use cases. You will work closely with a large analytics engineering community dedicated to Commercial & Operations domains, supported by business analysts and data modelers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Model Design and Development: Design, build, test, and maintain data models and SQL transformations in dbt to enable analytics for Commercial & Operations teams.
  • Domain-Specific Dimensions and KPIs: Extend enterprise data models by creating domain-specific dimensions, measures, and KPIs aligned with Commercial & Operations business needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Data BAs, Customer SMEs, and centralized data modelling team to translate business rules into curated data assets.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Ensure models are well-documented in Alation and adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and version control (GitHub).
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data modelling roles.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance optimization).
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation and data pipeline management.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or other modern cloud data platforms).
  • Familiarity with data modelling concepts (fact-dimension, star schema, medallion architecture).
