Senior Procurement Officer

ISS Facility Management Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Officer to join our team in Melbourne CBD. As a key member of our Supply Chain and Procurement team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of our category plan to deliver business transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned savings projects from inception to implementation, ensuring successful stakeholder management and timely delivery.
  • Compile and analyze data to inform the Category Manager of potential project saving strategies, driving business growth and efficiency.
  • Assist in procurement process reviews, providing recommendations for improvement and change.
  • Execute tendering and negotiation of designated services in a cost-effective and timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively communicate and educate supply chain partners on ISS processes and systems, driving collaboration and achieving business objectives.
  • Foster long-term relationships with third-party vendors, strategically managing supplier contracts and resolving disputes.
  • Actively collaborate to drive Social Procurement initiatives, generating social benefits and increasing contracting opportunities for underrepresented communities.
  • Assist the team in implementing and delivering global/regional supply chain KPIs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industrial legislation.
  • Continuously monitor and report on the risk and control environment, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience using procurement methodologies to drive cost savings.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time along the Eastern Seaboard.
  • Experience leading projects or transitions with large matrix cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – preferably IBM Trirega.
  • Experience implementing an end-to-end category project from idea inception to business implementation.
  • In-depth analysis experience using multiple data sources to explore and agree a baseline and promote procurement savings.
  • Evidence of using influencing and negotiation skills to gain stakeholder approval in project execution.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with difficult stakeholders and conflict management.
  • Well-developed time management and organisation skills with the ability to deal with multiple issues, pressures, and deadlines concurrently.
  • Flexibility for the completion of urgent projects beyond agreed working hours.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Confidentiality at all times.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • CIPS qualified or working towards completion.
  • Subcontractor Category Management experience in Facilities Management and/or Financial Services Sector.
  • Digital procurement experience with a leading P2P platform.
