Procurement Expert


This is a senior procurement position requiring experience in managing the planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all activities required for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation and award of purchase orders.


Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress of all activities to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries for equipment.
  • Carry out commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable the correct supplier choice.
  • Lead negotiations with business partners and suppliers to establish collaborative relationships.
  • Develop and maintain vendor data and goods tracking systems.
  • Implement and monitor procurement schedules in accordance with overall project timelines.
  • Review all orders to ensure details align with original tender requests.
  • Provide professional support to project teams in preparing project deliverables.
  • Contribute to training and development of Procurement team members.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics disciplines.
  • Demonstrated expertise with computerised purchasing systems and their applications.
  • Sound knowledge of international and local tendering practices will be considered favourably.
  • High-level negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to achieve consistently high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive stakeholder management environment.
