Auxiliary firefighters play a critical role in safeguarding communities during emergencies. As part of the emergency response team, you will be responsible for attending incidents, promoting community education activities, and developing competencies through regular drills and training.
About the Role- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness
- Develop and maintain competencies through training and regular drills
- Attend 50% of emergency calls as a day worker or 30% as a shift worker
- Attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely
- Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
- Manual C Class driver's license
- Australian Permanent Resident Status
