Lead Operations Manager for Mental Health

The Lead Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of mental health services across all ages. Reporting to the General Manager, this key position is responsible for formulating and implementing business plans and objectives for mental health service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in developing and executing strategies to improve mental health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to promote a culture of empathy, compassion, and inclusion within the organization.
  • Leverage strong leadership qualities to foster a supportive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and development.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality mental health service delivery.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop innovative solutions to enhance service quality and efficiency, with a focus on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Monitor financial and key performance indicators to inform strategic decision-making and drive sustainability and growth.

About You

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in complex health environments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent operational management skills, with a strong ability to navigate complex issues and balance competing priorities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of senior experience in operational public health or non-government mental health services.
  • Operational management expertise with a history of successfully managing complex services.
  • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in business, finance, healthcare management, or human behavior.
  • Clinical qualifications and experience leading in a clinical context would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of mental health services, including clinical practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
