Senior Grocery Department Manager Position at LLS Australia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grocery Department Manager to join our team at LLS Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire grocery department, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively while providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in grocery management or a related retail role, with excellent leadership and team management skills. They will be able to motivate and inspire a team to achieve departmental goals, while also analyzing sales trends and implementing strategies to maximize profitability and drive sales.

You will work closely with our suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels. Additionally, you will be responsible for merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and drive customer engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the grocery department, including stock levels, product placement, and inventory control.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling practices, and company policies.
  • Plan and execute effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and drive customer engagement.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in grocery management or a related retail role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and retail operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify opportunities for improvement.
