About the Role
As a Forensic Accountant, you will assume a crucial role in managing a variety of responsibilities related to insurance claims, fraud investigations, and legal proceedings.

  • Insurance Claims Analysis:
    Conduct comprehensive forensic accounting for insurance claims, specializing in areas such as business interruption, product liability/recall, and stock losses. Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards in evaluating insurance-related financial matters.
  • Fraud Investigations and Internal Control Review:
    Engage in forensic accounting investigations to identify fraudulent activities, contributing to the enhancement of internal controls. Perform thorough internal control reviews to pinpoint weaknesses and recommend improvements.
  • Preparation of Accounting Evidence and Expert Reports:
    Compile detailed accounting evidence and expert reports for use in legal proceedings. Present complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner, providing valuable insights to support legal cases.
  • Client Advisory on Various Matters:
    Offer tailored advice to clients on a range of issues, including business valuations, commercial loss and damage claims, and insurance events. Collaborate with clients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs and expectations.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • 2-5 years of local experience in forensic accounting within a mid-tier environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A solid understanding of Australian legislation and standards.
  • CA/CPA qualification or nearing completion.
  • Strong client engagement and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound judgment and a risk-aware mindset.
