About the Role
As a Senior Forensic Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing a variety of responsibilities associated with insurance claims, fraud investigations, and legal proceedings.

  • Insurance Claims Evaluation:
    Conduct in-depth forensic accounting analyses for insurance claims, specializing in areas such as business interruption, product liability/recall, and inventory losses. Ensure compliance with industry standards and accuracy in assessing financial matters related to insurance.
  • Fraud Investigation and Internal Control Assessment:
    Execute forensic accounting investigations to detect fraudulent activities, enhancing internal controls. Perform thorough reviews of internal controls to identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements.
  • Preparation of Financial Evidence and Expert Testimony:
    Compile detailed financial evidence and expert reports for court use. Present complex financial data clearly and accessibly, providing valuable insights to support legal cases.
  • Client Advisory Services:
    Offer tailored advice to clients on various issues, including business valuations, commercial loss claims, and insurance matters. Collaborate closely with clients to ensure a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • 2-5 years of local experience in forensic accounting within a mid-tier environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A solid understanding of Australian legislation and standards.
  • CA/CPA qualification or nearing completion.
  • Strong client engagement and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound judgment and a risk-aware mindset.
