Job Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic entry-level professional to join our team as an Accountant. As a key member of our Financial Management and Services (FMS) Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of financial services across various teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or those nearing graduation to launch their accounting and financial management careers with a reputable government agency.

The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in accounting and financial management while working towards their professional accounting qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Providing high-quality internal customer service to Treasury teams and agencies
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business or Law)
  • Completed or near to completing the entry requirements for CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or the Institute of Public Accountants program
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency of Australia
