About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef to join our team at Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new menu concepts and recipes to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and develop junior chefs to ensure a strong pipeline of talent for future leadership roles.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef or Executive Chef in a premium dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management, with a focus on developing and mentoring junior chefs.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity in menu development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
