Key Roles and Responsibilities

The position of a Small Business Banker involves driving customer retention and growth, acquiring new businesses, and promoting the bank as a choice for small businesses.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Manage lending requests up to $2 million for small businesses, agribusiness lending requests up to $1m, and home lending up to $5 million.
  • Create strong partnerships with colleagues, referral networks, and brokers.
  • Evaluate economic value and risk potential of new business opportunities.
  • Offer expertise and insights on business options while balancing risk and growth.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess enthusiastic energy and passion for customer service.
  • Have experience in business or Retail/Lending banking.
  • Understand the SME Market and local area knowledge thoroughly.
  • Demonstrate strong customer and relationship management skills.
  • Show problem-solving, time management, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
