About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Relations Advisor to join our HR/IR Team at our Lobs Hole site on a 14/7 FIFO or DIDO Roster. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the team of IR Advisors with dispute resolution, advising on workplace relations policies and problems, and ensuring IR compliance for FGJV employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IR advice on interpretation of relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Liaise with Payroll team regarding application of industrial instruments and payroll queries.
  • Manage union right of entry to site and guidance of union officials.
  • Respond to industrial incidents and actions, ensuring compliance with industrial risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractor pre-qualification audits and mobilisation of personnel.
  • Review ABCC compliance for the Project and its subcontractors.
  • Deliver training to management and other personnel on IR and HR topics, developing and implementing policies and procedures across the project workforce.
  • Generate employment contracts and internal employee correspondence as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Project industrial systems, including counselling/discipline, issue resolution, probation, return to work, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Organisational Psychology, Law, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of HR/IR systems and processes.
  • Project Management experience, with the ability to plan, implement, and manage longer-term initiatives.
