About this role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Sydney Tax team at Grant Thornton Australia. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with an experienced Director to examine data sets, extract meaningful insights, and aid in strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Data extraction, manipulation, and transformation, ensuring data quality and integrity against known business rules within existing client engagements.
  • Help clients and engagement teams make sense of complex data sets, utilizing analytical thinking to translate data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Effective communication with project stakeholders, including internal teams and external clients.
  • Develop valuable data solutions for clients through automated processes, executive dashboards, and strategic problem-solving.
  • Support business opportunities in advanced analytics.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in data analytics, specifically using Alteryx in a corporate or professional services environment.
  • Hold a formal qualification or certification in data analysis or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Power BI and Python.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with attention to detail.
  • Alteryx Certification (Designer Core or Designer Advanced) is a core requirement.
  • Experience working with Tax-related data is preferred.
