Clinical Pharmacy Services for Patient Care

GenesisCare is seeking a skilled clinical pharmacist to join our team at our North Shore Health Hub in St Leonards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving treatment at GenesisCare medical oncology centres.

  • Dispense medication, including chemotherapy, to patients.
  • Conduct clinical reviews of treatment orders in MOSAIQ.
  • Approve chemotherapy orders for preparation or supply.
  • Release aseptically prepared products.
  • Manage inventory and process pharmacy invoices.
  • Provide medication counselling and participate in pre-admission clinics.
  • Be an active member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to GenesisCare's governance activities through medication safety and Quality Use of Medicines.
  • Ensure all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a professional and timely manner.

This role requires:

  • General unrestricted pharmacy registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a commitment to patient-focused pharmacy practice.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in an oncology/haematology setting.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate clinical pharmacy services.
  • An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across all sites in the greater Sydney area.
