Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer renewable power facilities, including battery energy storage systems and balance of plant design for renewable generation.
  • Develop specifications and scope of work documents and prepare detailed engineering design reports.
  • Perform feasibility studies for integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and emerging technologies into transmission and distribution networks.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and clients, addressing technical inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Create drawing packages in conjunction with the drafting team for renewable generation balance of plant design.
  • Conduct field visits and inspections to assess distribution infrastructure conditions and identify potential improvements.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in consulting, development, or power utility environments.
  • A sound understanding of industry codes and standards related to power.
  • Experience in any related power design field, including building services, mining, LV or MV design, with HV Substations experience being well regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive approach to building client relationships through listening, responsiveness, and effective communication.
  • Project management and bid management experience.
