About the Role
">- This is a part-time vacancy working 56 hours per fortnight.
Job Summary
">- We are seeking an experienced Lead Cancer Services Specialist to join our team at Port Lincoln Hospital in South Australia.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting our exceptional Cancer Services team, providing high-quality nursing and midwifery services across diverse health settings.
- As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance continuity of care and implement best practices.
- You will also assist in managing ward/unit responsibilities, including performance management, recruitment, rostering, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
">- Providing leadership and guidance to less experienced staff members.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize workloads and achieve goals.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and overall care quality.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
">- Degree-qualified Registered Nurse/Midwife with a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
- Current Anti-Cancer Drug Administration (ADAC) certification.
- Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel, with demonstrated proficiency in nursing practices.
- Supervisory experience in supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
- Familiarity with Eyre & Far North Local Health Network policies and procedures.
