Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Regional Services Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities with medium-sized customers at the regional level, as well as collaborating with Sales teams and Account Managers to drive growth and success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develops business opportunities with medium-sized customers at the regional level, working closely with Sales teams and Account Managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provides technical expertise and leads solution creation activities to address customer needs and achieve business targets.
  • Contributes to the development of long-term partnerships with key customers, acting as a senior subject matter expert at the regional level and creating customer network evolution plans to position Nokia's technology strategy, solutions, and products strongly.
  • Uses knowledge of industry and competitive landscapes to provide technical expertise in early opportunity development and develops innovative solutions to increase effectiveness and sustain a competitive advantage.
  • Identifies complex technical risks and proposes mitigation plans to generate solid business impact.
  • Contributes to the Letter of Agreement (LoA) process from a technical perspective.
  • Influences strategic decisions within the unit that affect the performance of the broader organization.
  • May lead functional teams, handle day-to-day staff management issues, including allocation of work, and support bid teams on solution description, Scope of Work (SoW), Bill of Quantity (BoQ), and Statement of Compliance (SoC).

Requirements:

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently across large geographical areas.
  • A degree in business management and/or proven experience in service/software sales.
  • Strong technical knowledge preferably in Optical networking and Automation, and/or Fixed or IP Networks.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to drive complex customer engagement narratives.
  • A thorough understanding of CSP engineering and operational processes, including the ability to translate common processes into active change management and transformation programs.
  • Market knowledge, ideally with a blend of knowledge with NI, Mobility, and CNS.
