Civil Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced civil drafter to join our team and assist in the delivery of a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors.

To be successful in this role, you will require education in civil drafting or a related field, proven experience as a civil drafter, and advanced knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D. You should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and design: Create and revise detailed civil engineering plans using CAD software.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project specifications, design intent, and industry standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain and organize project files, drawing revisions, and documentation in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Review and quality control: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
  • Technical support: Provide technical support and assistance during all phases of a project, from initial design through to construction.

Requirements:

  • Education: A diploma or associate's degree in civil drafting or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a civil drafter.
  • Technical proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Civil engineering knowledge: A strong understanding of civil engineering principles, drafting standards, and familiarity with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Soft skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
