We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Water Resources Management Consultant to join our team in Australia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead technical delivery of projects across various fields of water resources, including flood risk and resilience, stormwater design, and sustainable stormwater management.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling, specifically with TUFLOW, and excellent project management skills to coordinate teams and ensure client requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to flood studies and flood risk management plans;
  • Provide technical input into flood risk management projects and prepare clear technical reports;
  • Design water management systems that interface with surface and pipe networks;
  • Engage with clients to develop long-lasting relationships;
  • Collaborate with designers, environmental scientists, planners, and engineers to deliver innovative and environmentally sensitive designs;
  • Develop and mentor junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field;
  • Between 8-20 years of experience in water resources engineering, specifically floodplain management;
  • Strong knowledge of TUFLOW 1D/2D modeling and flood risk management;
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Commitment to collaborative and ethical behavior in a client-facing environment.
