Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will bring life-saving diagnostic imaging directly to patients in diverse locations.
You will support the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries, play a key role in enhancing patient care, image quality, and operational efficiency, making a tangible impact on every patient you serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel by vehicle to perform portable x-rays in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.
- Determine proper electronic and technical factors based on patient needs.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing diagnostic imaging exams.
- Prepare accurate physician and patient orders and transmit reading as required in a timely manner.
- Set, adjust, and operate various portable electronic equipment to obtain diagnostic images that may include EKGs and Holter Monitors.
- Ensure equipment is available and in working order prior to shift start and shift end.
- Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.
Requirements:
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R)
- Has a valid state-issued driver's license and maintains a good driving record
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
