About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Microsoft as a Senior Solution Architect, working on the Defence and Intelligence Portfolio. As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for gathering insights from stakeholders, anticipating industry trends, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define and align technical solutions to customer business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather insights and alignment from various stakeholders to align on solution design using the Microsoft Azure, M365 and Dynamics cloud solutions.
  • Anticipate industry trends to influence long-term technology strategy based on a history of delivery in Defence solutions.
  • Recognised as a Defence industry expert, with a history of delivery and leadership in Defence or Defence related areas.
  • Utilise structured methodologies like Waterfall, Agile and Iterative, leveraging reference architecture and design patterns.
  • Define and communicate architecture to articulate the solution's business value to a senior-level audience.
  • Develop deep relationships with senior-level decision makers to build influence and trust.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing direction on Microsoft's capabilities in cloud and leadership to teams including Microsoft and customer Architects on overall direction, strategic decision making, technical capabilities, and roadmap planning for future capabilities.
  • Effective cross-boundary collaboration to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities with stakeholders in customers and inside Microsoft.
  • Initiate and drive architect community events, providing mentoring and leadership to other team members.
