Comprehensive Care and Communicating for Safety Initiative

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare is seeking a skilled project officer to support its comprehensive care and communicating for safety initiatives.

  • Support the development and implementation of projects, including planning, agenda preparation, and coordination of internal processes such as reporting, briefings, and approval processes.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of resources, and provide secretariat support for advisory committees and working groups.
  • Research, review, and analyse data, reports, published material, and expert opinion to inform project decisions.
  • Draft and edit meeting papers, correspondence, consultation materials, briefings, and submissions, ensuring consistency and accuracy across documents.
  • Manage procurement and contract activities, including financial administration, invoice processing, and budget preparation and monitoring.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Project management experience and skills.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities, with sound judgement and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective writing skills, including the ability to write high-level documents, such as briefing papers, reviews, submissions, and meeting papers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build productive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • A thorough understanding of Australia's healthcare system.
