Job Opportunity:
Shape the Future of Energy AnalysisWe are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Lead to join our team and shape the digital infrastructure of the National Energy Analysis Centre.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the engineering architecture, design, and development of NEAC's digital platform.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performance development team, ensuring platform scalability, security, and performance as we onboard users, expand features, and implement advanced analytical workflows.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering architecture, design, and development of NEAC's digital platform
- Collaborate with the founding team on science translation, product direction, market feedback, and platform evolution
- Coordinate and lead a high-performance development team, including internal resources, contractors, development agencies, and other external contributors
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field such as computer science or software engineering or similar
- Meaningful leadership experience in software development, including engineering leadership or senior engineering roles delivering complex platform projects
- Full-stack development skills and ability to be hands-on where required, especially in early prototyping and exploration of features
- Experience designing and implementing scalable data platforms, APIs, and cloud-based systems
