ICT Support Technician (Customer Support) Job Description

We are seeking an ICT Support Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is a leading provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and engineering solutions, including CAD/CAM/CAE tools such as SolidEdge, NX, Teamcenter, Simcenter, and IoT platforms.

The role involves providing technical assistance, education, and guidance in deploying and maintaining clients' computer infrastructure. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, contributing directly to clients' engineering and product development success.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Responding to inquiries and providing technical support for PLM, CAM, and CAD software and hardware issues.
  2. Supporting clients with Siemens PLM solutions, ensuring timely resolution of user issues.
  3. Determining software and hardware requirements for effective solutions.
  4. Diagnosing and resolving system problems related to software functionality, data access, and workflows.
  5. Installing, configuring, and maintaining PLM system infrastructure, including applications like Teamcenter.
  6. Developing user training sessions and creating technical documentation.
  7. Collaborating with users and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in PLM software support, with a minimum of X years.
Desirable Skills:
  • Expertise in PLM implementation and support, especially with Siemens Teamcenter (including Rich Client, Active Workspace, & BMIDE).
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Solid Edge and NX for Design, including Mold Wizard, and Rhino.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLM modules such as Requirement Management, Change Management, BOM Management, and MCAD Integration.
  • Technical skills including TCL, VB.NET, HTML.
