About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to oversee a portfolio of customers throughout their entire credit lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assume a mentoring role for junior team members and contribute to ongoing process improvements with respect to efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Business Finance Director in managing day-to-day workflow across the portfolio and provide coaching support to team members.
  • Pursue continuous improvement initiatives in processes and ways of working across Business Finance and Risk teams.
Credit Analysis and Assessment
  • Oversight of credit analysis and assessments from initial transaction assessments to requests for variations, renewals, and repeat business throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Coordination with the Business Finance team, Credit, and Legal teams during documentation and execution phases to ensure smooth transactions for customers.
  • Management of administrative and operational aspects of the portfolio, including drawdowns, repayments, exposures, and covenants, in collaboration with the Lending Operations team.
Culture and Leadership
  • Mentorship and guidance to the Portfolio Relationship Management team to navigate the credit environment effectively and create positive customer experiences.
  • Aid the Director Portfolio Relationship Management Business Finance in maintaining an environment where Business Finance and Risk teams align and work together towards shared goals.
About You
  • You will have effective management of high-risk customers.
  • Contributions towards growth aligned to SME targets for existing customers such as renewals and new business from existing customers.
  • Engagement with Transaction Execution & Solutions Managers, State Directors, and Business Development Managers.

The ideal candidate should possess experience in portfolio management, credit risk assessment, and team leadership. A strong understanding of credit analysis, business finance, and risk management principles is essential.
