Job Title:

A Senior Portfolio Manager is sought to manage a diverse income portfolio of clients across industries.

  • This role requires the ability to deliver high-level service and advice on general insurance requirements.

About The Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Client Manager to lead our commercial client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of a portfolio of commercial clients and delivering high-level service and advice across all general insurance requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
  • Conducting annual pre-renewal meetings and internal strategy sessions where required.
  • Developing a deep understanding of client businesses and proactively identifying and managing insurance needs.
  • Arranging specialised insurance cover in complex cases and managing the insurance marketing process to deliver optimal results.
  • Providing clients with written confirmation of cover prior to expiry and detailed insurance manuals post-renewal.
  • Preparing professional, detailed reports for new business and renewals.
  • Managing claims awareness and ensuring progress is monitored and communicated.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through referrals and networking.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members including Client Executives and Assistants.

Requirements:

  • Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking is essential; a University degree is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the General Insurance industry, with majority of these years spent in a broking or underwriting capacity.
  • Strong account management experience with confidence in handling complex commercial portfolios.
  • Proficiency in understanding compliance frameworks and adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using systems such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, IBAIS or similar.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Passionate about customer service, business growth, and building long-term client relationships.
  • Motivated, self-driven, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team environment.
