About the Role
  • This critical position oversees credit risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial decision-making align with sound risk practices.

We're seeking an innovative professional to lead the development of robust frameworks for stress testing, provisioning, and capital adequacy, guiding teams on regulatory standards and delivering insights that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically oversee credit risk, including hardship management, non-performing loans, specific provisioning, and ECL.
  • Design and implement a thorough hindsight process to ensure accountability and sound credit decisions.
  • Lead the development of a fit-for-purpose credit risk stress testing framework aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct control testing according to internal procedures.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of credit risk-related prudential standards.
  • Conduct deep dives into credit risk processes to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is essential.
  • You possess a strong working knowledge of APRA regulatory obligations in retail banking.
  • Experience with capital adequacy, ICAAP, and stress testing frameworks is highly desirable.
  • You have proven ability to uplift credit risk frameworks and embed them into operational practice.
