Transforming Retail Credit Risk at BOQ Group

We're seeking a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retail credit risk. As our new Credit Risk Assessment Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our consumer lending portfolio.

  • You'll exercise Delegated Approval Authority (DAA) to assess and structure lending submissions, identifying trends and risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic growth.
  • This role sits within our Group Risk division, reporting to the Senior Manager Retail Credit Risk, and is integral to our mission of building social capital through banking.

About You

  • As a confident decision-maker with a sharp eye for risk and a passion for responsible lending, you bring strong stakeholder management, excellent judgement, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, respond to queries with urgency, and take pride in mentoring others to elevate their credit assessment skills.

You'll work closely with Business Bank, Retail, and Risk teams to drive impactful outcomes, leveraging your deep experience and strong knowledge in Credit Risk and Consumer Financial Services. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is advantageous, but what we're really looking for is someone who can collaborate and partner across teams to drive results.
