Reliability Manager Full-time Position

We're a leading innovator in sustainable plastics recycling, driving environmental responsibility and product quality to reduce plastic waste and promote a circular economy.
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of assets, equipment, and systems across our manufacturing facility. Your primary goal will be to develop and implement reliability strategies, maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise asset performance, minimise downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex reliability issues
- Conducting reliability assessments, root cause analyses, and failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) to identify potential issues and develop mitigation plans
- Planning and executing shutdown programs for optimal work delivery and effective start-up
- Monitoring and analysing asset performance metrics, reliability data, and maintenance records to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Implementing procedures to effectively manage spare parts and consumables at optimum levels (MEX system)
- Coordinating all maintenance contractors, including building maintenance
- Preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations for management on reliability performance, initiatives, and improvement opportunities
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- At least 7 years' experience in a technical management role, maintenance related supporting machines and equipment used in the injection moulding or any related industry.
- Demonstrated understanding and competence of plastic processing equipment in regard to electrical, robotics, PC, networks, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes to maintain and troubleshoot / fault-finding such equipment including its ancillary equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of reliability principles, methodologies, and tools, such as RCM, FMEA, and condition-based maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and change management skills
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering are required, and a Certificate 4 WHS is desirable.
