About the Role

The Montessori Academy is seeking an experienced and qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a key member in providing high-quality education and care. This is an excellent opportunity for early childhood professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional educational programs and taking our already outstanding educational program to the next level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Strong Relationships with children at the service, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Design and Implement the Children's Program, reflecting the Early Years Learning Framework guidelines, to ensure a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment for staff and children, adhering to the highest standards of health and safety protocols.
  • Implement the Service's Philosophy in all aspects of the role, ensuring that the values and principles of the Montessori Academy are upheld.
  • Liaise with Families to keep them informed about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
  • Record and Maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, providing valuable insights for future planning and development.

Essential Criteria
  • Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent) to ensure a strong foundation in early childhood education and care principles.
  • Current Working with Children Check to ensure the safety and well-being of children in the service.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one to provide emergency care and support.
  • Excellent Understanding and Working Knowledge of the National Quality Framework to ensure compliance and best practice in early childhood education and care.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills to effectively communicate with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment, promoting a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Strong Understanding of the Importance of Family Communications to build strong relationships with families and promote a sense of community.
  • Commitment to the Holistic Development of children, ensuring that their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
  • Montessori Experience and Training is preferred but not essential, as extensive training will be provided to support the successful candidate in their role.
