Simulation System Specialist Position

Cubic Corporation is seeking a skilled Simulation System Specialist to support our simulation systems for the Royal Australian Navy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient, effective and reliable RHEL systems. They will also assist with integration and testing of various combat simulators using simulation protocols (HLA & DIS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain efficient, effective and reliable RHEL systems
  • Assist with integration and testing of various combat simulators using simulation protocols (HLA & DIS)
  • Liaise with internal and external agencies; assist simulation operators facilitate database management, game design and game construct
  • Contribute to effective monitoring of system performance and capacity planning
  • Provide technical advice and maintain delivery of effective day-to-day operations using RHEL

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a systems administration role preferably in a medium-large IT environment
  • Linux System Administration experience with Linux Command Line / Shell Scripting
  • Network knowledge & understanding (TCP/IP)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve system issues

Security Clearance:
  • Must be eligible or currently hold a minimum of (NV1) level Defence security clearance and eligible for ITAR requirements
