About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of editorial content and social strategy for a new digital language service on SBS. The Executive Producer will be responsible for creating and delivering distinctive and innovative multi-platform content for the Telugu language service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and delivering high-quality content for the Telugu language service, including news, current affairs, and feature stories.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with correspondents and other stakeholders to ensure a steady supply of engaging content.
  • Collaborating with cross-language teams to contribute to divisional objectives and initiatives.
  • Producing audio podcasts, including recording interviews and features, to provide a unique listening experience for our audience.
About You

We are seeking an experienced broadcast journalist who can undertake tasks involved in the planning, preparation, production, presentation, and delivery of multi-platform content. Key requirements include:

  • A strong ability to write, compile, and present news, sport, and current affairs from a variety of sources.
  • Availability for and ability to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of our 24/7 operation.
  • Proficiency in English and in Telugu, both written and spoken, including clear broadcast delivery.
