Operations Director

A pioneering leader is required to spearhead the growth and expansion of a renewable energy company in Australia.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in operational management, preferably within the renewable energy or construction sectors.

This senior role involves overseeing the delivery of thousands of installations per year, ensuring seamless project execution from order confirmation to installation, customer communication, post-installation service, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a national residential installation team, guaranteeing timely, high-quality project completion.
  • Oversee the entire customer journey from order to post-installation care, focusing on delivering premium service experiences.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and delivery methods to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
Team & People Leadership:
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead a dynamic operations team across multiple states (QLD, NSW, VIC, SA).
  • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Embody a willingness to roll up sleeves and work hands-on when necessary.
Customer Experience & Service:
  • Position the company as a market leader in renewable energy customer service.
  • Monitor and enhance customer communication, installation quality, and service outcomes.
  • Resolve escalations with empathy and professionalism, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
Strategic Growth & Innovation:
  • Support the expansion of product offerings to include full home and commercial electrification solutions.
  • Identify gaps in operational processes and implement scalable systems for sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with global and local leadership to align operations with broader company goals.
Performance & Delivery Excellence:
  • Manage and optimize 'virtual assembly line' operations for consistency and reliability.
  • Oversee KPIs across installation timeframes, customer satisfaction, service response, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven senior leadership experience in operations, preferably in renewable energy, construction, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling high-volume, customer-facing operations.
  • Strong leadership presence, able to motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Customer-first mindset with a track record of delivering premium service experiences.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally to support teams in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.
