About the Role
The Head of Department will provide expert instructional coaching to staff, directly impacting student outcomes. They will lead the consistent implementation of our Whole School Approach to Pedagogy, grounded in the Gradual Release of Responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop expert staff, systematic curriculum and effective pedagogies aligned to the Whole School's Approach to Pedagogy and Instructional Model;
- Leverage teacher expertise as a resource for building collective efficacy;
- Drive improvement classroom pedagogical practices across faculties, with a focus on improving student outcomes;
- Lead the development of early career staff as the preservice teacher coordinator, leader of the early career teacher program, and the coach for supervisors and mentors;
- Support the coordination of the professional learning program of the school, and model continual professional growth by delivering internal professional learning opportunities.
