Job Title: Department Leader

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic leader to join the team as Department Leader. In this key leadership role, you will drive the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices, while building and nurturing strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.

About The Role
  • You will play a key role in aligning system priorities with the school's strategic direction.
  • You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the English and Humanities curriculums and their effective delivery.
  • You will build the capacity of staff through the use of data-informed, high-yield pedagogies.
  • You will contribute to the broader strategic leadership of the school.
Your Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate a strong understanding of system priorities and how they apply to the school's strategic direction.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies for delivering the English and Humanities curriculums.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, and the wider school community.
  4. Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements
  • A degree in Education or related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
