About Our Client

This renowned company is embarking on an innovative journey by bringing its supply chain operations in-house, transitioning from a distributor-led model to a direct-to-market approach. To support this shift, they are creating a new position for a Supply Chain Manager to spearhead the optimization of their supply chain processes.

Job Description

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's direct-to-market approach and long-term goals.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable, cost-effective sourcing.
  • Designing and managing in-house logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation, to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Overseeing inventory management processes to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and ensure product availability.
  • Collaborating with sales and production teams to create accurate demand forecasts and production schedules, balancing customer demand with supply chain capabilities.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements across supply chain processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Anticipating and mitigating supply chain risks, including supply disruptions, fluctuations in demand, and regulatory changes.

To excel in this challenging role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven managerial experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • An excellent understanding of supply chain processes and their dependencies.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
