About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to join our team as a High-Level Incident Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing major incidents and possess strong leadership skills.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the major incident management process and ensure that it is followed by all team members involved. This includes leading awareness programs, investigating incidents, producing documents outlining procedures, collaborating with other teams, and maintaining reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the major incident management process
  • Lead awareness programs on Incident Management processes
  • Investigate incidents and lead meetings with customers and resolver groups
  • Produce documents outlining Major Incident procedures
  • Collaborate with incident and problem management teams
  • Maintain administration and reports
  • Accountable for resolving major incidents via workaround or permanent fix
  • Guide and adjust the incident management process as required

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in Major Incident, Problem or Service Delivery Manager roles
  • Experience working in similar positions within the telecommunications or cloud computing industry
  • Ability to influence teams without direct reporting lines
  • Demonstrated ITIL process experience (Event, Incident, Change, Problem, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Incident, Problem Management and Knowledge Management
  • Excellent client handling skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise issues, and think outside the box
  • Proven ability to work in dynamic and high-pressure environments
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
