Academic Success Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Success Partner to join our dynamic team at Macquarie University. As a key member of the Access and Success team, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering curricular and co-curricular programs that empower coursework students to achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of experts to develop and implement academic success programs and services that meet the needs of coursework students.
- Collaborate with faculty members and other stakeholders to design and deliver programs that promote academic literacy, digital literacy, and professional skills.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and achieve academic success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff in an exemplary professional, collaborative, and innovative team environment.
- Work closely with the Manager, Academic Success, to develop and implement the team's strategic plan and priorities.
- Postgraduate qualification in an academic literacy-related field and/or sustained relevant experience delivering curricular and co-curricular academic success programs and initiatives.
- Knowledge of the higher education sector, particularly legislative and regulatory requirements relating to academic success and support for students.
- Knowledge of research and best practice regarding the innovation and optimisation of academic success and support programs.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the proficiency to evaluate program effectiveness and undertake continuous quality improvement activities to uplift student outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to advise and influence key faculty stakeholders and achieve buy-in for academic success programs.
