Key Performance Indicators for this role include maintaining high standards of instrument reprocessing and ensuring seamless workflow between the Operating Theatre and Sterilising Unit. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for decontaminating, processing, assembling, inspecting, wrapping, and sterilising reusable medical devices in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.

This critical position involves collaborating with colleagues to meet the needs of the peri-operative team and ensure effective communication throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within a team to process instruments, trays, and equipment efficiently
  • Ensuring consistency in reprocessing quality and continuous workflow between various operating theatre areas and CSSD

Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate III qualification in Sterilising Services
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a Sterilising Unit or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of AS 5369:2023 principles and best practices
