Job Role:

As a Business Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our department dealing with requests for information, advice or assisting people with complaints in relation to Local Government.

The key functions of this role include customer relations and communications skills in the context of a regulatory environment. You will also provide business reporting, administration support to the unit and liaison with other corporate business areas within the State Government.

This is a hybrid role offering 2 days remote and 3 days onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the first point of contact for all enquiries, approaches and correspondence.
  • Receipt and response to incoming calls and complaints.
Requirements:
  • A knowledge of the Local Government Act 2020 (Vic) or experience working in a regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrates high level verbal and written communication skills, ensuring appropriate format, style and approach is taken to deliver best outcomes for the Inspectorate.
  • Planning and Organising: Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal.
Benefits:

Full time fixed term hybrid opportunity for 6 months within the Local Government Inspectorate.

VPS Grade 3: $74,580 - $90,558 plus superannuation.
