Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at Canobolas Rural Technology High School, working in a collegiate role to provide counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, teachers and parents alike.
  • An understanding of the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service is essential.
  • Working collaboratively with the school executive, staff and student support services, the successful candidate will contribute to improving student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments will be administered, with reports on the results and interventions provided.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents and carers, and other agencies, to develop appropriate school-based support for students.
Key Responsibilities

As a School Psychologist, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide individual and group counselling services to students.
  • Implement the procedures of the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
  • Work collaboratively with the school executive, staff and student support services to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of students, supporting schools and students with complex behavioural needs.
  • Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments, providing reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with learning and support teams, parents and carers, and other agencies to develop school-based support for students.
